The Passport to Your National Parks® iPhone App is Now Available!

Eastern National is proud to provide the Passport to Your National Parks® iPhone app for all who enjoy America's national parks! And, we have plans to make it available for other smart phone devices in the future.

You use your Passport book to collect printed stamps of visits to your national parks - now use the app as a digital companion to your Passport book. Our app features information from the Passport book, with the ability to view park maps, websites and much more. You will also be able to record memories and photographs of your visits to these amazing sites!

Search for national parks by name, state, Passport region or those close geographically. The Passport App allows you to collect information on your visits and mark parks you would like to visit. You can view your list of parks visited or would those you would like to visit by list or map. View nearby national parks within 50 miles, 100 miles or 250 miles of your current GPS location.

The park details display provides valuable information about every unit of the National Park Service. The information is contained in Eastern National’s Passport Explorer book. Click on a phone number to call the park or tap the NPS.GOV website to view that park’s home page. In the upper right corner, click on the hiker icon to add the park to a list of parks you would like to visit.

At the bottom of the park details display click on web sites for quick links to key NPS.GOV pages. Websites can be viewed in portrait or landscape format. Click on map to see a Google map of the park with pins for each Passport Stamp location. This information is courtesy of the National Parks Travelers Club (parkstamps.org). Click on the arrow next to a pin and you will see additional information relating to Passport cancellation locations. Click add visit to enter information about your trip, such as a title, brief description, and the date of your visit. Here you can add photos and captions to view at a later time. Browse through visits to view photos and captions to recapture memories.

All information you enter about visits is saved on your iPhone and is backed-up when the device is synchronized to your computer. Be sure to synchronize your iPhone with your computer after visits and photos are added or updated. Alternatively, if you have iOS 5 and iCloud backup is enabled, then your database and photos will be backed up to the Cloud. Please note that deleting the App will delete all your data.
